I'm running Excel 2016 (version 1016 MSO (16.0.6701.1013) 32-bit) on Windows 10 Home (Version 1511, OS Build 10586.164). In the Developer Ribbon, Visual Basic, Record Macro & Macros features are greyed out. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Office package, but the features aren't restored. I was able to run my VBA and macros the day before. Now, when I try to open a workbook with some VBA code, I get the error message 'We found a problem with some content in 'xxxxxxxx.xlsm'. Do you want us to try to recover as much as we can? If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes.'
Clicking Yes, I get the message box stating 'Excel was able to open the file by repairing or removing the unreadable content.' With 'Removed Part: /xl/vbaProject.bin part. (Visual Basic for Applications (VBA))' in the message area. How can I re-enable the Visual Basic, Record Macro and Macros feature?

VBA seems to be working fine in Access 2016. However, when opening Word, I get the error 'The function you are attempting to run contains macros or content that requires macro language support. When this software was installed, you (or your administrator) chose not to iinstall support for macros or controls.'
Hi, Based on your description, did you install VBA application in your environment? I suggest you try to re-add VBA feature in your environment. Please follow these steps:. Close all the office applications.
Click on Start - Control Panel - Programs- Programs and Features. Click on Microsoft Office 2007 and click on change.
Click on continue for Add/remove features. Expand Office Shared Features. Click on the little arrow attached to Visual Basic for Application and select Run from my Computer- continue. Click close once the configuration window and try to open word documents. Please try this method and check if it works for you, any updates please let me know and I'm glad to help.
